@metalmeister5582 What the hell are you on about? Hemp products are not illegal. You can walk into a craft or hardware store and buy hemp twine. You can also buy hemp clothes and other cloth items at various small stores. Its obsolete, not illegal. We found better things to use for oil, cloth, and so on, that has nothing to do with why smoking cannabis is illegal. If that were the case, vacuum tubes and phonographs would be illegal just because they are obsolete.

@Mandolinpossum Being "harmful" had nothing to do with it. If that were the case, cigarettes, alcohol, and fried foods would also be illegal. Think of what makes the world go 'round.Oil.Hemp was a versatile, renewable resource. Hemp was not what the Oil Barons were invested in. So they lobbied to outlaw the drug Marijuana, thus eliminating it's cousin, Hemp. Now, instead of hemp, we make everything out of nylon, polyester, acrylic,vinyl... all of which are made from petroleum byproduct.

@califinn Sorry, but other countries' prosperity has nothing to do with it. If it were, we wouldn't allow electronics from Japan or cars from Germany, either.
