Your brain has a natural 'info gatherer', basically, you can easily be scared of something you see off TV (for example, my fear was zombies), because technically you have seen the zombie and what it does. And action movies make daily life seem boring - if you spend a lot of time watching action movies then you will automatically think these things happen alot - yet they don't, and there's your result. Technically, the TV is the ultimate brainwashing weapon.

@kryptikkk777 I'm scared of snakes. That's funny because I've never seen a snake.I saw a film when I was a child and now I'm 22 and I'm still brainwashed into fearing them.

@kryptikkk777 Simpler than you might think. 1)The camera scans the scene and the TV reproduces this in your home only one tiny dot at a time. But this dot can scan so quickly that it can travel across a whole line in several hundreths of a second. 2) Then it starts the next line until the whole picture is drawn.( it's still one moving dot at any one time but this happens so fast that your eye thinks it's seeing a whole picture at once. 3) It repeats this for the next frame. 30 per second.
